Our lab's mission is to explore and map natural genetic and adaptive variation of cognition and related neuronal traits. We use long-term experimental evolution, robotics-assisted high-throughput behavioural phenotyping, next generation sequencing, genome-wide association mapping, and the full range of Drosophila genetic toolkit to reveal the mysteries of the evolution of the brain. We also use majority of these techniques to  explore the population, conservation and spatial genetics of declining Acropora millepora coral populations in the Coral Sea.
